Have a Look Around

Join us for a Walk Around the City (2)

Map

Friedrichsplatz We leave the museum now and turn right. Walking past the Murhard'sche Bibliothek (3.) – library – we cross the Frankfurter Straße in the direction of Weinberg. Continuing past the Neue Galerie (4.) – New Gallery – and the Palais Bellevue (5.) housing the Brüder-Grimm-Museum the Friedrichsplatz comes into view.

Theater From this point we can see the Staatstheater (6.) and right next to that the new documenta-Halle – exhibition halls.

Slide Landscape In the picture we can see a frame that belongs to the art work Landschaft im Dia (Slide Landscape). This work was created by a collective group of artists known as Haus Rucker und Co on the occasion of the documenta 6. It is one of the objects which has remained in the city and reminds visitors of the existence of this great art exhibition in the five years between each new exhibition.
