Wilhelmsthal Rococo Palace Park Complex
Guided sightseeing tour
Originally planned as a rococo park in front of the castle of the same name under Landgrave Wilhelm VIII, the founder of the art gallery, nowadays it is better described as a landscaped garden.
The rococo park which was never quite completed still retains its southern axis together with the canal, grotto and so-called duck pond. Later Schwarzkopf, the court gardener, redesigned certain things. During the tour visitors can discover the eventful history surrounding the complex and understand its meaning in the present day.
